It’s Our Future
Individuals, organizations and business are invited to pledge below to:
- Speak out and stand up against hateful rhetoric, behavior, or attacks on my own community and others, while also tending to my own safety;
- Prepare internally and build the strength needed for these times;
- Directly support those who are targets of violence, intimidation or harassment;
- Demand those in power protect and advance civil rights;
- Speak my conscience and oppose or interrupt bigotry in all its forms;
- Contribute to providing a safe and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds, of every race, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, disability, gender, or sexual identity.
By signing the pledge your name (or the name of your organization / business) you’ll let the rest of North Carolina know that you stand for courage, action and a shared future for everyone. Names will be shared on this website; if you don’t want your name or your organization’s name published, just let us know in the comments below.
